Mireia Badia, runner-up in the EnduroGP Women’s World Championship

The current Spanish Enduro champion and female member of the RFME Enduro Junior Team-GRO, Mireia Badia, finished the world championship season in Germany with two podium finishes, third and second on each of the days of competition.

This result has helped her to be crowned once again runner-up in the Enduro Women’s World Championship behind Jane Daniels and ahead of Rosie Rowett.

A great season for Mireia Badia at the controls of a Rieju and using GRO products, who said: “Friday started with the SuperTest quite badly, with several crashes, as well as on Saturday that on the first lap I got caught and had a crash in the extreme special, where I lost a lot of time, dropping to eighth place, despite this, during the second lap I was able to recover time and positions to finish the first day in third place. Sunday started better, despite falling again, I kept second, to finish in the same position. It was a complicated race, with a terrain that degraded considerably. Well, in the end I’m happy.

The season in general has been positive, yes with the 2-stroke in some specials it was more difficult to be fast and in other specials it has made things easier, there have been complicated moments, but I have always been able to solve them and finish on the podium, very happy with the team and with the overall performance of the bike”.
