GRO at the Dakar 2024: 3 different challenges

The 46th edition of the Dakar Rally is about to start and GRO will be present supporting 3 teams in different categories, fighting for 3 very different challenges.

In the car category, GRO is supporting multiple champion Laia Sanz who, together with her experienced co-driver Maurizio Gerini and at the controls of the astara 02 Concept, an e-fuel powered 2WD buggy, will compete at the highest level with an efficient and ecological mobility solution with the aim of winning their category, the T1.2 Ultimate.
ALL1 has become a way of life that was born to remind us to live the present to the fullest and to pursue our dreams as a team, sharing our happiness with the world around us.

GRO has joined the dream of ALL1, the largest amateur motorbike team in history to compete in the toughest off-road event in the world.
In terms of trucks, GRO repeats its participation in the KH-7 ECOVERGY team with the Juvanteny-Criado-Ribas crew, Dakar experts with seventy-three participations in the toughest off-road race in the world.

Piloting a MAN 6×6, they are leading an innovative project that will have a hybrid hydrogen and HVO fuel system with which they aim to reduce the usual CO2 emissions of a truck of these characteristics by around 90%. The leap forward will be notable, after having managed to complete the Dakar 2023 with a system that emitted between 40% and 50% less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere thanks to the use of hydrogen.
