GRO at the Dakar 2023
In a few hours the 45th edition of the Dakar Rally will start and GRO will be present supporting 3 teams in different categories. In this edition, they will have to face more than 8,000 very hard kilometres, of which 5,000 will be timed over 14 stages.
In the car category, GRO is supporting Carlos Checa and Marc Solà at the wheel of a T1.2 Prototype Cross-Country Cars 4×2 of the Astara team. In his second Dakar, Carlos Checa (former Superbike World Champion and MotoGP rider) aims to continue his learning process and enjoy driving a much more powerful vehicle.
In motorbikes, once again this year, the Rieju Factory team continues to trust GRO to use our lubricants and other fluids in their bikes to achieve maximum performance.
In this edition, the official Rieju team is made up of Dani Nosiglia, Diego Llanos and Sandra Gómez, who is aiming for a notable position among the women.
In terms of trucks, this year GRO is taking part in the KH-7 Epsilon team with the Juvanteny-Criado-Ballbé crew, Dakar experts with more than seventy participations in the toughest race in the world.
The great novelty of this team lies in being the first truck to race the Dakar powered by hydrogen as well as low-emission fuels.
Faced with the challenge, GRO wanted to do its bit as a technical partner to achieve sustainable mobility.
