Efrén Llarena, runner-up in the European Rally Championship (ERC)

The Rallye Islas Canarias, the last round of the European Rally Championship, was the stage to crown Efrén Llarena as runner-up in the European Rally Championship. Sara Fernández, his co-driver, won the title of European co-drivers' champion. In the Canary Islands, Rallye Team Spain, sponsored by GRO, has achieved the second scratch position. The event, which also counted towards the S-CER, saw the Llarena-Fernández tandem take the victory in the national championship.
